Three paintings were selected for the 2024 Art Expo in New York, at pier 36 on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, April 4 - 7. Viewed by about 50,000 visitors. These are very large paintings -- too big to send so they will be displayed on a 72" monitor in booth 107. See the paintings here:

One of my print originals and not a reproduction of an image but created entirely as a print. A finalist in the competition for inclusion in the 14th issue of World Wide Art Magazine, sent free to 235,000 readers, gallery owners, art fans, art dealers, art collectors and art organizations.Oh Begonia is a nuanced print with a subtle pastel texture and an abstract quality that captures the spirit of spring.

Like the weather, art is an experience. It is intended to take you to another sphere where words are not the native language. Dreams of the Sungod is unusual in that it verges on still-life representation. Typically my work searches for an element of mystery as the paintings subtly approach image without becoming anything at all, so that in striving for conceptual meaning the viewer is gently turned back to the purely aesthetic experience.
Presently there is a different kind of creativity going on in the studio. It involves re-organizing the paintings, building some shelves, unpacking the boxes, installing a sink, adding some protective material to the floor, replacing the lighting, etc. We did hang 37 paintings in the house so that freed up some space in the studio. But it is going to take some time before I can paint. There is hopefully an end to everything that needs to be done when you move.
Recently I was accepted into the Bugera Matheson Gallery in Edmonton, located at 10345-124 St. in the Edmonton gallery walk district. The prairies are a familiar environment that had an initial impact on my painting. Certainly my palette has been enriched by the ultramarine prairie skies, the golden amber wheat fields, even the color of Alberta spring mud -- the neutral colors are always needed to make the bright ones really sing. I am one of the artists featured in the August 2018 art walk represented by the Bugera Matheson Gallery.
